Do not install this software on your workstation if you have access to baseline software.
Due to firewall security settings, downloading this software via a Defence Wide Area Network (DWAN) workstation will result in a corrupted executable!
CFPAS Software distribution on the DWAN is done through Baseline Software. For more information on baseline software, contact your system administrator.
CONDITIONS for Downloading CFPAS to a Home Computer
CFPAS 2009 may be downloaded to privately owned IT equipment with the following caveats:
The conditions of use on a personal workstation will be:
- NEVER complete Section 1 on the PER (which contains personal and unit identifying information) or any signature block;
- NEVER name the individual on whom you are writing;
- NEVER open a PER on your home computer that has identifying personal or unit information or signature blocks filled in already;
- ALWAYS use a DND issued storage media.
- ALWAYS scan any DND issued media brought from home before using it in a DND owned IT equipment by selecting My Computer, the appropriate drive, File menu, Scan for viruses; and
- ALWAYS be thoroughly familiar with IT security policies and take responsibility for the protection of protected information.
Instructions for Downloading CFPAS to a Home Computer
- The following hardware is the minimum recommended to run CFPAS:
- PC with a Pentium II 300 MHz or higher processor;
- 128 MB of RAM;
- 30 MB of free disk space (typical installation).

- Open the file CFPAS2009_0_0_E.zip and extract the program to your desktop. (You will need WinZip, ZipCentral or a similar program to extract the file.)
- Double-click on CFPAS2009_0_0_E.exe to start the installation of CFPAS 2009.
- NOTE: You may install CFPAS on any Windows but DMCSS 2 (Director Military Careers Support Services) will only support CFPAS on the following Operating System: Microsoft Windows 2000, Service Pack 4 and Microsoft Windows XP.
How to uninstall:
Note: To uninstall CFPAS from a workstation running Windows 2000 or Windows XP, the user uninstalling the product must have Administrator privileges for that workstation.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Select CFPAS - SEPFC 2009.
- Click Add/Remove.
