Welcome to the DCBA 4 – Military Foreign Service website. DCBA 4 is responsible for the development and management of compensation and benefits created specifically to acknowledge the unique challenges faced by military personnel and their families during periods of deployment or assignment outside Canada. It is the goal of DCBA 4 to ensure, to the greatest extent possible, that the compensation and benefits developed:
- are appropriately integrated with similar programs and initiatives in other Government departments, while addressing unique military aspects;
- remain focused on addressing the conditions and circumstances experienced by CF personnel outside Canada;
- are both comprehensive and flexible, so as to facilitate their application across a wide range of situations; and
- are continually analysed and updated to ensure they reflect the current priorities of all stakeholders.
