OPERATIONAL HISTORY

The Second World War

Regina served on escort duties in the North Atlantic, off the coast of Normandy and on the United Kingdom-Mediterranean Sea convoy route with 'Quebec Force', 'Western Local Escort Force', 'Mid-Ocean Escort Force', 'Western Approaches Command' and the Operation TORCH escort forces.4 On 8 February 1943 she sank the Italian submarine Avorio.5 She was torpedoed and sunk near Cornwall by the German submarine U667.6
