LINEAGE

This Reserve Force squadron originated in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia on 5 June 1947, when the '45th Field Squadron, RCE' was authorized to be formed.1 It was redesignated: '45th Field Engineer Squadron (M)' on 21 May 1975;2 and '45th Field Engineer Squadron' on 4 September 1992.4
