SUBMISSION OF AN AUDIO RECORDING AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

An applicant submitting an audio recording must demonstrate his/her current musical skill level and capabilities. The audio recording should include and consider the following parameters;

SELECTION FOR LIVE AUDITION AND CANADIAN ARMED FORCES RECRUITING CENTER PROCESSING

The CAF Supervisor of Music will convene a selection board to assess all submissions received. The anonymity of the candidates is preserved for this part of the selection process.

Upon completion of the assessments, applicants who are not invited to Phase II Live Audition will be informed by DHH Music.

Those applicants who are invited to participate in Phase II Live Audition will be notified by DHH Music and will be instructed to complete the web based Canadian Armed Forces application at www.forces.ca and contact their local Recruiting Centre (CFRC). Upon completion of this web based application an alpha number will be generated. Please forward this alpha number to DHH Music Auditions Coordinator.

Since the Phase II Live Audition will take place on location with one of six Regular Force Bands, The DHH Music Auditions Coordinator will put continuing applicants in contact with the closest Regular Force Band Point of Contact (POC) to set up an audition date.

Local CFRCs are responsible for coordinating the travel arrangements of candidates participating in Phase II “Live Audition”. For candidates residing in Canada, the CAF will provide costs associated with transportation, accommodation and meal expenses to the designated band.
