The CAF Music Branch audition is a competition for highly skilled musicians. Candidates should expect the audition to last one full work day.

The live audition is divided into three parts;

The Music Branch values the ability to show your skillset on a secondary instrument during this time also.

Note* The Band POC will provide candidates with the musical repertoire for the ensemble performances and other musical requirements 4 weeks prior to your audition date. In addition, the Band POC will liaise with the CFRC to provide administrative details, location, dates and performance schedule. A selection panel within the Regular Force Band will assess all candidates. A recording of the Live Audition and the panel assessments will be sent to the CAF Standards and Training Advisor at DHH Music for final selection, which will be based on the panel’s recommendations.

Candidates must provide three copies of each prepared musical work performed at the audition for use by the panel.
