This memorial was erected by the University of Ottawa and was unveiled on November 11, 2009. As a doctoral candidate in History at the University of Ottawa, Anne Millar`s research has resulted in the erection of a commemorative plaque in honour of university students and graduates who fell in the Second World War. There is a second plaque at the university, unveiled in 1998, that is now mounted in the same frame as the new plaque and dedicated to the same group of people. The memorial was done in the official colors of the university and includes the university crest.
