Mission Mandate:

To assist de Havilland Canada in selling aircraft to the Government of Ecuador.

Mission/Operation Notes:

In April 1973, the Government of Canada authorized the Canadian Forces to assist de Havilland Canada in the company’s efforts to sell DHC-5 Buffalo aircraft to Ecuador. A CC-115 Buffalo aircraft and technicians from CFB Trenton deployed to that country to demonstrate the aircraft’s capabilities. The trip was successful as Ecuador bought three aircraft.
