The Meritorious Service Decorations: call for nominations

The Meritorious Service Decorations (MSDs) are perhaps one of the most effective tools of recognition at the disposal of the CF and yet, their potential is far from being fully developed. The MSDs are not well known and they are severely underused. The CF Decorations Advisory Committee (CFDAC) is calling for more nominations to be made for MSDs and for a better repartition of the awards among the ranks of the CF and the types of service recognized.

The Facts

Capt A.P. Robb, M.S.M., October 12, 2007.

WO M.B. Smith, M.S.M., C.D., and the Governor General, October 12, 2007.

What Next?

You know people who perform above and beyond all expectations, those who inspire by their actions; these are the individuals who should be nominated. CFDAC is looking forward to reviewing more nominations for MSDs in order to recognize a broader section of the CF and a wider array of military activities through these prestigious national honours.
