Reserve Force Pension Buyback Program

The first step for the CF Member considering buying back prior Reserve pensionable service is to obtain their record of Reserve service. The Reserve Pension Buyback Documentation Support Cell has been established to assist CF Members in accomplishing this.

To initiate this process, you must complete, sign and return the Authorization and Request for Information form. We will contact you shortly after receiving your form.

Should you have any of your documentation, as listed on the Document Checklist provided by the Director Canadian Forces Pensions Services, please have them available to assist us in obtaining your record.

Once you have obtained your records from the Reserve Pension Buyback Documentation Support Cell, you can use this information as input into the Buyback Calculator. This will assist you in making your final decision to elect to buy back reserve pensionable service.

Support for the Buyback Calculator and subsequent steps for you to follow to elect to buyback your pensionable service is provided through the Director Canadian Forces Pensions Services.
