MILPERSCOM (MPC) Employment Equity (EE) Plan
Over the past 25 years, immigration to Canada has considerably modified the
ethno-cultural profile of Canadian society. During the same period, attitudes of
Canadians have evolved considerably concerning the place of women in society, both in
the Department of National Defence (DND) and in the Canadian Forces (CF). DND and the
CF in particular have yet to see these transformations properly reflected in its
workforce. The CF EE Plan was approved by the Defence Management Committee on
1 December 2006. The CF EE Plan action plan therein is based on recommendations from
the CF employment systems review that was conducted in 2004. The MPC EE Plan emerged
from the CF EE Plan and is based upon all references.
